Your nationality

Non-EU/EEA nationals apply through the consulate route. EU citizens living in Spain apply through UGE directly. Knowing your nationality lets us give you the right guidance.

Current country of residence

If you're applying from abroad, you'll go through a Spanish consulate. If you're already in Spain, you apply via UGE. This changes the timeline and documentation required.

Employed or self-employed?

The DNV is open to both remote employees and registered freelancers (autónomos). The required documents differ depending on your employment type, so this helps us tailor our advice.

Approximate monthly income

The 2026 income requirement is €2,849 per month (200% of Spain's SMI). Letting us know your earnings helps us confirm eligibility and flag anything worth discussing.

Log in to your dashboard at dashboard.platinumlegalspain.com and open your active case. All communication with your case manager takes place inside the dashboard so everything is recorded in one place. For urgent matters, send a message through the case thread directly.

Do you work with clients from any country?

Spain's Digital Nomad Visa is open to non-EU/EEA nationals applying from abroad, and to EU citizens already resident in Spain applying via UGE. Our team works with clients from across the world. If you are uncertain whether your nationality qualifies, email us and we'll let you know straight away.
