Spain DNV · Pricing 2026
Spain Digital Nomad Visa —
Cost & Pricing 2026
Transparent, staged fees that track the progress of your case. You pay the final amount only once your visa is approved — not before.
How the Fees Work
Three stages. Pay as your case progresses.
Most immigration firms ask for a large sum upfront, regardless of outcome. We do things differently. Your fees are split into stages that match the actual progress of your application — so your financial exposure is always proportionate to where you are in the process.
To get started
Opens your case on the dashboard, triggers your free eligibility review, and assigns you a personal case manager. Your lawyer begins your document checklist immediately.
Before submission
Your full application pack — forms, translations, employer or client letters — is complete and reviewed by your lawyer. This stage falls due when everything is prepared and ready to file.
On approval
The largest payment only falls due when you've received your approval. You celebrate getting your DNV — then pay the final stage. It's that simple.
Why this structure? It aligns our incentives with yours. We only receive the bulk of our fee when you are approved — so we are motivated to get you there. This approach also means if your application is unsuccessful, you have never paid for an outcome that didn't happen.

Additional Costs to Know About
What you'll arrange or pay separately
We include everything we can in the service fee. Here's what sits outside it — and why.
Government Tasa — Consulate Route
UGE applications: the tasa is included in our service fee — nothing extra to pay. Consulate applications: the tasa is payable directly to the Spanish authorities at submission. The amount is set by the Spanish government and we confirm the exact figure at document preparation stage.
Private Health Insurance
If you are employed by a foreign company, Spanish immigration law requires a full-coverage private health policy with no co-payments. Self-employed (autónomo) applicants are covered by Spain's public health system — no private policy required. For employed applicants, our recommended providers are Spanish-HealthInsurance.com and 247 Expat Insurance — both offer DNV-compliant policies.
Beckham Law Tax Registration
DNV holders can opt into Spain's special 24% flat tax regime for up to 6 years. This is a separate post-approval service managed by our specialist tax team at Platinum Legal Spain — it is not bundled into the DNV application fee. Learn more about the Beckham Law →
Apostille & Criminal Record Fees
You'll need to obtain apostilled criminal record certificates from every country you've lived in over the last five years. The cost of obtaining those records and apostilles varies by country and is payable directly to your home government — we'll guide you through exactly what to get.
TIE Residence Card Appointment
Once your DNV is approved and you arrive in Spain, you'll book a TIE appointment directly at your local police station within 30 days. There's a small government fee for the TIE card itself. We walk you through the whole process — but the appointment is yours to book.
Sworn Translations — What's Included
Sworn translations of your key documents are included in the service fee — up to the value of €200 for new applications and €100 for renewals. This typically covers your criminal record certificate(s), proof of income, and employer or client letter. If additional documents require translation beyond these values, any excess is charged at cost and confirmed with you in advance.
Family Applications
Bringing your family? Here's what you need to know.
Spouses, registered partners, and dependent children can all be included in your DNV application. A family discount is available — contact us before starting so we can give you a personalised quote for your household.
Including family members increases the minimum income you need to demonstrate. The Spanish government sets these thresholds based on percentages of the annual SMI (Salario Mínimo Interprofesional).
2026 Minimum Income Thresholds
| Applicant profile | Minimum monthly income |
|---|---|
| Single applicant | €2,849 / month |
| Main applicant + spouse / partner | €3,917 / month (€2,849 + €1,068 — 75% of 2026 SMI) |
| Each additional dependent child | + €356 / month each (25% of 2026 SMI per child) |
| Example: 2 adults + 2 children | €4,629 / month |
Figures derived from the 2026 Spanish SMI. We confirm your exact household threshold during the free eligibility check.
Income can be the main applicant's alone — a spouse or child does not need to earn independently to qualify as a dependant.
Client Stories
People who used our service
"I'd been putting off the DNV for months because the process looked overwhelming. The dashboard made it genuinely straightforward — I always knew exactly what was needed and where my case was. Approved via UGE in 19 working days."
"The staged pricing was actually what sold me. I wasn't comfortable paying €2,000 upfront to a firm I'd never worked with. Paying €500 to get started felt right — and the service was excellent from day one. Filed from Miami, approved in just under 8 weeks."
"As a self-employed translator I wasn't sure I'd qualify — my income is project-based. They did a thorough eligibility check first and confirmed I was good to go. The translations being included saved me a lot of time and money. Highly recommend."
Pricing Questions
Common questions about our fees
How much does the Spain Digital Nomad Visa cost in total?
Our service fee for a new application is €1,899 for one adult, paid in three stages: €500 to open your case, €500 when your documents are ready for submission, and €899 on approval. This includes official sworn translations up to the value of €200, and your full application management. DNV renewals are €999 total, paid in two stages (€400 + €599). Family discount pricing is available on request.
Do I pay the full amount upfront?
No — that's the point of our staged pricing. You pay €500 to get started, a second €500 when your full document pack is prepared and ready to file, and the final €899 only once your visa is approved. The largest payment only falls due when you know the outcome. If your application is refused after submission, that final stage does not fall due.
Are there any costs on top of the service fee?
For UGE applications (in Spain or entering on a tourist visa), the government tasa is included in our fee — so there are very few extras. For consulate applications, the government tasa is payable separately to the Spanish authorities at submission. Both routes may also involve: apostille and criminal record fees in your home country; and, for employed applicants, a Spanish private health insurance policy. We confirm all of these clearly before you pay anything. There are no hidden charges in our service fee itself.
Is health insurance included?
Private health insurance is not included in the service fee. However, only employed applicants (those working for a foreign employer) need a private Spanish policy — self-employed (autónomo) applicants are covered by Spain's public health system via their social security contributions. For employed applicants, our recommended providers are Spanish-HealthInsurance.com and 247 Expat Insurance — both offer DNV-compliant policies accepted by Spanish consulates and immigration offices.
Is Beckham Law registration included in the price?
No — Beckham Law is a separate tax service. Once your DNV is approved, you may choose to opt into Spain's special non-resident tax regime (Beckham Law) and pay a flat 24% on Spanish-source employment income for up to 6 years. This registration is handled post-approval by our specialist tax team at Platinum Legal Spain and is priced separately. Read our Beckham Law guide →
Do you offer a family discount?
Yes. When you include a spouse or dependent children in the same application, a family discount applies to the additional applicants. Please contact us before starting so we can provide a personalised family quote. Note that adding family members increases the minimum monthly income you need to demonstrate to the Spanish authorities.
What's the minimum income needed in 2026?
For a single applicant, the minimum monthly income requirement is €2,849 per month — equivalent to 200% of the 2026 Spanish SMI (Salario Mínimo Interprofesional). For a spouse or registered partner, an additional 75% of the SMI is required. Each dependent child adds a further 25% of the SMI. We confirm your specific thresholds during the free eligibility check. See our income requirements guide for the full breakdown.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Our refund policy is outlined in full in our Refund Policy. Because our costs begin immediately when you open a case (lawyer time, eligibility review, document preparation), the initial stage fee is non-refundable once work has commenced. Later stage fees are only triggered when the relevant work is complete — so you never pay for work that hasn't happened yet.
